SYNOPSIS: After abandoning chaotic life in Italy, Giorgio, an unruled writer finds a second home in Bali, where he leads a relaxed, but somewhat meaningless life. While deceiving his family with promises of a novel he never writes, Giorgio instead spends his days wandering, flirting with tourists, and attempting to integrate into the community.
Wayan, on the other hand, is a Balinese waiter who lives in perpetual debt. Struggling to make ends meet for him and his family, Wayan resorts to creativity in order to pay his bills. At present, things aren’t looking so bright for him, as he’s indebted to a local gangster, with only one day to gather enough money to pay. The fates of these two very different men cross when Giorgio decides to help his Balinese friend. As a reward, Giorgio receives an unexpected gift that will change his life forever.
